چکیده
This study develops a comprehensive seismic risk model for the city of Chania, in Greece, which is located ina highly seismic-prone region due to occurrenceof moderate large earthquakes because nearby major subduction zone between African and Eurasian tectonic plates. The main aim reduce area by incorporating spatial distribution near-surface shear wave velocity soil classification, along with all possible sources, taking into account historical events. incorporates correlates various ground motion scenarios geological fault zones as well information on existing buildings develop using QuakeIST software, then hazard realistic prediction resulting future adverse effects are assessed. developed can assist municipal authorities Chania be prepared potential events, planners decisionmakers, who use an effective decision-making tool identify vulnerability infrastructure. Thus, this enables implementation appropriate viable earthquake-related hazards strategy mitigate damage losses earthquakes.

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea
data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...
Seismic Risk Assessment of Power Substations
Power networks are among the most important infrastructures that without them, industrial, economic and social procedures will halt. Therefore, they should be planned for the most difficult conditions to provide services with minimum disruption. Power substations are of great importance to a power network, because any disruption in their components can produce extensive problems through the net...

متن کاملAn Integrated DEA and Data Mining Approach for Performance Assessment
This paper presents a data envelopment analysis (DEA) model combined with Bootstrapping to assess performance of one of the Data mining Algorithms. We applied a two-step process for performance productivity analysis of insurance branches within a case study. First, using a DEA model, the study analyzes the productivity of eighteen decision-making units (DMUs). Using a Malmquist index, DEA deter...
متن کاملAn integrated approach for risk assessment in port projects
Port risk management is utilized to describe a sequence of the analysis and management activities focused on creating specific responses to inherent risks in port projects. Risk assessment is taken into account in the projects; however, it is still comparatively neglected for the assessment process with non-parametric resampling techniques and interval analysis. The required data and experts’ j...
